Firepay Casinos
What is
Firepay?
Fireplay is an online deposit method
that has recently shut down. The company closed
completely in December 2007 and no longer exists. What
Fireplay used to do was transfer money from your personal
bank account to an online casino of your choice. You
would receive an account from Fireplay that could
effectively hold funds to be transferred to other sites.
Most credit cards and bank transfers were accepted to
load funds onto your account. Registration at Firepay was
free and so were the money transfers within your account.
You did however pay each time you deposited funds. It
seems Firepay couldn’t gain a large enough client base
with bigger companies like Paypal taking most of their
business.
How do I withdraw money from my
Firepay account?
You were given
a 150 day period after the company closed to withdraw your
money from your account. Firepay would send the money to an
email address after your withdrawal request and it would arrive
several days later. Now however, with the business closed it
will be incredibly difficult to try and access your account. If
you have funds in your old Firepay account that are worth the
trouble, you need to email an information service address
posted on the Fireplay website. They will then charge you $25
for the final transaction.
Can I still use my Firepay
account for other sites?
No, Fireplay has closed altogether,
there is no specific ban on casinos that make it active
on other merchant sites. The company had been in and out
of trouble with its clients and eventually had to close
its doors to the world.
Further
Problems
Unfortunately,
the only way to contact Firepay is via that one email address.
There have been numerous complaints on the internet that
Firepay does not reply to the emails or if they do it’s to
inform the client that their money has been forfeit. No known
telephone numbers, physical addresses or contactable associates
exist.
Looking for a virtual card
account that works with online casino
sites?
There are a few similar services
available that you can register for. If you enjoyed the
convenience of your Firepay account then you can get something
almost identical from another
company.
Moneybookers
is a
global online deposit method very close to what Fireplay
used to be. Like Fireplay, Moneybookers uses your email
address to send and receive money as well as deposit it.
As an inexpensive alternative, it uses echecks to
minimise transfer costs. Registration is free and there
are no ongoing fees to keep your account open.
Neteller
is
the biggest money transfer system on the internet. For
cheap, fast digital cash deposits and easy transfers in
and out of your account Neteller is the company for you.
The nice thing about Neteller is that it is too popular
and well run to ever end up like Firepay. It’s free to
open an account and you can use credit cards and direct
bank transfers to fund your Neteller account
online.
